Following the success of AMX15, AMX is again preparing for beyondAMX16 where we will bring together selected Partners and the Users & Design Professional Community at the InterContinental Sanctuary Cove Resort for another fantastic and highly anticipated annual event.
This year’s content will be filled with case studies on successful technology deployments from around the world, including a Keynote Case Study from Superior Court of Arizona, Maricopa County.
New ways of working, teaching and caring will be explored; along with hands-on demonstrations of the latest HARMAN technology.
In addition to the stimulating conference content, AMX will be holding an array of social networking evenings providing delegates with unique and invaluable networking opportunities.
This event is by invitation only, if you would like to register your interest please contact email@example.com.
For AMX Australia, 2015 brought about massive changes – all of them exciting and overwhelmingly positive. Since this time last year we have hired almost 20 new staff members, the majority of them filling newly created positions. As a result we have almost doubled in size and our Christmas party sure was evidence of that!
The most exciting change was the addition of new brands to our product line. For almost nine years we have exclusively sold AMX products and solutions. Following the acquisition of AMX by HARMAN we now have access to a range of truly iconic brands. In October we took on HARMAN'S JBL Professional, BSS and Crown ranges in Australia and most recently we have announced that AKG is the latest HARMAN brand to form part of our product offering in Australia. The addition of these well known and respected brands and products now means that we can offer our customers a complete and quality end-to-end audio visual solution. It also means that we are in for another huge and exciting year!
Says Graham Evans, General Manager of AMX Australia, "AKG is the natural addition. This continued expansion of HARMAN Professional Solutions brands to our portfolio means that we have never been better positioned to support our customers in delivering complete solutions. We are particularly excited to be able to provide a far broader scope of support to our integration partners. Consultants and end users will also benefit from a single platform approach to meeting their technology needs”.
Watch this space for more exciting news as we integrate these brands to provide you with a complete end-to-end solution.
Midway through 2015 we were thrilled to include the SVSi products into our range of products and services offered and with this product addition we were privileged enough to meet and welcome to Australia co-founder and Director of International Sales for SVSi at AMX by HARMAN, Bob Sharp.
Though not a complete surprise, we were delighted to hear of his nomination and subsequent inauguration into the SCN Hall of Fame towards the end of 2015. Only just officially announced through AVNetwork we are proud that our good friend and colleague is receiving the recognition he so thoroughly deserves.
Bob has been with SVSi from the very beginning and still exudes the same level of enthusiasm and passion he did from the very start. His depth of knowledge of the products, their journey and the AV industry at large is, to say the least, inspiring. Coupled with the fact that he is quite simply a thoroughly nice guy we can think of no one more deserving of this industry coveted award.
We know how humbled, if not slightly embarrassed Bob is by this public recognition but we hope he is able to bask in the glory! Congratulations Bob!

Well what a whirlwind the past 6 weeks have been!
We started the Australian tour of AMX & Beyond 2015 in our home town of Brisbane and opened to an impressive and engaged crowd of partners. The overwhelmingly excited response to our new products and offerings was nothing short of buoying and further convinced us that our path forward is full of promising possibilities for AMX Australia.
We finished our tour in New Zealand last week and while we focussed this region on our SVSi range of products we were heartened to find that our NZ partners are as excited about partnering with AMX beyond 2015 as we are.
We thank everyone who attended and hope that you found it to be a worthwhile spend of your valuable time.
Graham Barrett, our Head of Product Management says that, “the response from our partners and customers to the SVSi and Harman Audio demos and presentations at our AMX & Beyond events has been fantastic. The SVSi range represents the transitional platform to truly converged Networked AV and the addition of JBL, Crown and BSS to our portfolio for the Corporate Education Government market allows our focus on Customer Service Excellence to now reach a greater proportion of our partners projects and solutions."
Life on the road for our dedicated staff is always a challenge, but particularly when they were literally in a new city every few days! Couple that with the time differences between states and daylight savings thrown into the mix it made business as usual interesting to say the least! Thankfully our business is blessed with people who are fantastic at what they do, get along well as individuals and as a team and never (hardly ever!) complain. We applaud everyone who had even a small part of making this road show such a huge success!
Did you know that we flew over 12,500 kilometres to bring our products to your doorstep and that we presented to over 300 people? That’s a mighty number for our relatively small industry and we are thankful to everyone who attended. We hope that you found it to be a worthwhile spend of your valuable time and would love to see any photos you have to share on our facebook page. We would also love your feedback, so if you are yet to fill in our survey please click below;

Integrated Systems Europe is once again joining with InfoComm International and CEDIA to bring together the world’s fastest growing and best attended show for professional AV and electronic systems professionals.
Returning once again to Amsterdam’s RAI conference and exhibition centre, this year’s ISE will see the addition of a 4th day to the annual show in order to support attendees who have expressed the need to have more time to make their way around the massive exhibition space. The extra day has been placed at the end of the show, taking place from Tuesday 9 February through to Friday 12 February 2016.
Coming into its 13th year ISE has evolved from 120 exhibitors in its inaugural year to over 1000 exhibitors in 2015, where they also welcomed a record breaking 60,000 visitors through the doors!
AMX along with other HARMAN Professional brands will be showcased on the HARMAN booth in Hall 1, Stand F6. To gain free entry into the show please use HARMANs VIP complimentary code 703497.

The term 'huddle space' refers to a small room or breakout area with a table, phone, white board and a few chairs. It’s the venue of choice for people who just need a quiet place to get together and collaborate.
Wouldn't it be fantastic if this space also provided you with ready-to-use control and automation technology and you could easily display content from a laptop or iPad onto an LCD display? Or quickly access the internet? Or conduct a web conference? And imagine if you could do all this breaking the bank!
Welcome to the AMX designed Huddle Space, our productivity solution for smaller spaces.
AMX Australia and New Zealand will be closing from COB Wednesday 23 December and re-opening on Thursday 7 January 2016.
2016 promises to be an exciting year for AMX and we welcome you all along for the ride.
From everyone here at AMX AUNZ we wish you all a very best during the break and look forward to seeing you in 2016!
Our AMX & Beyond 2015 Roadshow began with a BANG! last week in our hometown of Brisbane, shortly followed by stops in Sydney and then Melbourne.
So far, the response from our partners has been overwhelmingly positive, with all round excitement at our new product additions and the fact that we can now offer a complete end to end solution!
With sound amplified by our JBL speakers and microphones provided by AKG, attendees were able to see, touch and experience the new products from HARMAN Audio.
The SVSi networked AV demonstrations, including the mind blowing 4K Video Wall, left the audience in no doubt of the exciting future that the AMX by HARMAN family will bring to Australia.
Such a lot of careful planning and behind the scenes preparation has gone into this event and with close to 200 attentive industry partners within our audiences already we can refer to this event as a resounding success.
Looking forward to landing in Canberra, Adelaide, Perth, Auckland and Wellington in the coming weeks!

Located inside Fort Carson, the Colorado Army National Guard Regional Training Institute facilities have added more than 300,000 square feet of state-of-the-art training and accommodations.
This case study focuses on enterprise technology integration solutions for government with an installation driven by HARMAN’s Crown amplifiers, JBL speakers and AMX control, automation, video distribution, and resource management software.
Gone are the days when work was confined to 9am - 5pm. Did you know that 80% of smartphone users pick up their devices before they even get out of bed?
Activity Based Working (ABW) or Agile Working is based on the premise that no employee ‘owns’ or has an assigned workstation. Instead, the broader workspace now offers employees a variety of pre-determined ‘activity’ areas that allow them to conduct specific tasks including learning, focusing, collaborating and socialising.
With this in mind AMX by HARMAN have put together this neat infographic to show you a typical day in the life of....you?
As users push for everything to be available on the network, AV systems need to follow suit.
Some AV manufacturers interface with IT systems, but true AV/IT integration goes beyond that. This infographic video will tell you how you can unify your AV switching system, your AV control system, and your IT network into a single integrated solution!
As part of the prize package presented to our yearly AMX Best Project Award recipients, the winners are invited to attend our annual Singapore Study Tour.
Held every year and hosted by AMX Australia in conjunction with AMX Asia Pacific, VIP behind the scenes access is given to several world-leading AV deployments within the Singapore region.
During this year’s 4 day event, delegates spent time touring Singapore's landmark projects and some hugely impressive AV installations including the Singapore Sports Hub, James Cook University Singapore, Singapore Stock Exchange, Singapore General Hospital, Schroders in Singapore and Marina Bay Sands Singapore Hotel.
The Study Tour provided an incredible opportunity to experience AV deployments that have achieved global recognition and to meet the people behind them. It was informative and enjoyable for all involved and remains one of the most exclusive events in the AV Industry.
We thank all of those who attended this year and look forward to next year.
Since 2001, the annual AETM conference has been hosted at various locations and institutions throughout the AETM membership group.
A Platinum Sponsor for the 15th year running, AMX was proud to be part of the 2015 AETM Conference this week.
Held this year at RMIT and University of Melbourne in Victoria, the AETM conferences are a great opportunity for AV professionals to see, learn and connect.
With a specialised trade exhibition, vendor technology previews, case studies of new installations by AETM members, in-depth site inspections, and of course networking throughout, your time at an AETM conference will be one to remember and a great opportunity to network, share and develop both you and your staffs skillset and knowledge base. It also acts as an invitational to the sister associations SCHOMS and CCUMC where the global exchange of information, challenges and experience is shared.
Our Education Relationship Managers always enjoy attending this industry specific event, which enables them to share our technology and solutions and learn what others are offering in the marketplace.
They also enjoyed spending time with some of our valued partners at an AMX hosted dinner the night before we exhibited.
Another year is almost done and dusted and we look forward to being a part of this event again in 2016!
